Bioethical aspects of robotics in surgery

The article discusses the bioethical aspects of robotics in surgery and assesses impact this process on relationship between physician patient. An engineering model is gradually replacing traditional paternalistic physician-patient relationship. If paternalism implies doctor’s attitude to patient as his sick child, which requires compassion, help, great responsibility part doctor, then when implementing second model, like a technical executor, performs only responsibilities provided by job description. On one hand, dominance technical-type carries threat depersonalizing eliminating contact other contributes radical change concept medicine. Why people usually go doctors? For establishing diagnosis, prescribing course treatment, prescription, performing medical manipulations?
